Platform Purpose

DoTheyPay is a review platform designed to help UK tradesmen make informed decisions about potential clients based on payment reliability and business practices.

User Responsibilities

Review Guidelines

  • Provide honest, accurate reviews based on genuine experiences
  • Avoid defamatory, abusive, or inappropriate content
  • Respect confidentiality and avoid sharing sensitive business information
  • Only review businesses you have directly worked with

Account Security

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
  • Use the platform in compliance with applicable laws

Business Claims

Businesses may claim their profiles by providing valid proof of ownership. We reserve the right to verify claims and reject fraudulent applications. Claimed businesses may respond to reviews but cannot remove them.

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates our guidelines. Reviews for new businesses may require approval before publication. Elite reviewers with 20+ approved reviews have expedited approval privileges.

Limitation of Liability

DoTheyPay provides information based on user-submitted content. We do not guarantee the accuracy of reviews or payment information. Users should conduct their own due diligence before making business decisions.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity. Users may delete their accounts at any time through their profile settings.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

Data Protection and Anti-Scraping

DoTheyPay takes user privacy seriously. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Automated data scraping, harvesting, or mining of user information
  • Using bots, crawlers, or similar technologies to access the platform
  • Collecting user contact information for unauthorised purposes
  • Circumventing security measures or access controls
  • Accessing the platform for debt collection or harassment purposes

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination, IP blocking, and legal action.
